Athlete’s Foot

Athlete’s foot is a fungal infection that may cause itching, cracking of the skin, blistering, and peeling. It tends to affect the skin between the toes because that area is moist and prone to fungal growth.

The fungus that causes athlete’s foot can be picked up in communal areas where people are often barefoot, such as pools, showers, and changing rooms. To prevent athlete’s foot, it’s important to alternate your footwear and give a pair of shoes at least 24-48 hours to dry out properly before wearing them again.
